Spring Rosacea Skincare Routine

We’re at that weird point in the year where I’m still wearing a bobble hat to walk Douglas on a morning, hiding from 21° sun at midday, and then considering putting the heating on by 8pm. My skin is bamboozled and so I’m doing my best to help out, by tweaking and adapting my skincare routine as the days go on.

I thought I’d share my updated skincare routine as the last time I shared it, we were deep in freezing cold winter and the products I was using reflected that. If it’s useful, I’ll try to do these roughly every quarter, so you can see what I’m using, what I’ve swapped in and out, and how my skin is coping with the seasonal changes.

Here’s my usual disclaimer: I’m sharing this to show you an example of the order of my routine and the products I use, but this is absolutely not me telling you what you should be using or even that you need every product type on this list. That’s not my vibe. I’m sharing this as a starting point for you, so you can do some research and then apply your findings to your skin type, budget, energy levels etc. If your skin is happy with your current routine, stick with what you’re doing!

Just so you know, I have type 1 and type 3 rosacea, with classic combination skin, and my rosacea is mostly under control with no active flare ups.
